My grandma is 82 years old. She lives alone, her sight is weak, and she can’t cook anymore. I am stuck in London on quarantine, so I am very nervous about her well-being and mental state. She is now staying at home in Norfolk, VA. I am looking for someone to cook her a nice meal, deliver it, and have a little warm chat with my granny. All of the items will be paid for separately.

Hello, I am a 67 years old woman living in Union County, New Jersey, and I must confess, I am really feeling the brunt of this quarantine. I have had a series of medical conditions over the last few years that have left me confined to a wheelchair and left my health, not at 100 percent.

I’m quickly running low on my meds and other home supplies, and I’m seriously terrified of going out to get some, as I have learned that older people are more likely to experience fatal complications from the Covid-19 Virus.

I am alone and well right now, but in need of quick help. I need someone who can regularly help with my shopping; this will include my medication, groceries, and other home supplies. I’ll be most grateful.

Coronavirus mutation rate

'Good Read From An Immunologist' Post Misstates Reasons for COVID’s Virulence. Experts envision two scenarios if the new coronavirus isn’t contained - Too early to assess Figuring out the mutations that a virus underwent worldwide takes "a nontrivial amount of effort and sometimes takes years to complete," he said.. Solid arrows indicate the certain SARS coronavirus transmission route and dashed lines indicate the uncertain route. That means these two patients are linked to cases in Europe but not to each other, Grubaugh said. The post asserts that mutations in the RNA or DNA of a virus sometimes allow for animal-to-human transfer, but not human-to-human transfer. As such, it is difficult to conclusively prove the findings from the study just yet. You can help us continue to produce authoritative pieces from the frontiers of health and medicine. Speaking to Ed Young in The Atlantic, Matthew Friedman of the University of Maryland School of Medicine explained that this novel coronavirus differs from the coronavirus that caused the SARS outbreak because this one required no modifications to thrive in human cells after its jump from animal to human. More work needed to determine impact of genetic changes on patients, according to researchers. Jan 30,  · RNA viruses (like the coronavirus) have high mutation rates—up to a million times higher than their hosts—and these high rates are correlated with enhanced virulence. However, their mutation rates are almost disastrously high, and a small increase in mutation rate can cause RNA viruses to go locally extinct. Mar 05,  · Especially if the mutations remain minor, given the relatively high recovery rate of coronavirus patients in recent weeks, there is a strong possibility that the mutations would have minimal impact on the spread of coronavirus.

Coronavirus' low mutation rate suggests yearly vaccine unnecessary How fast can the coronavirus mutate? Given that many deaths from Covid are in people who have underlying health issuesdoctors still have to make the call on the cause of death. The president wanted Kentucky congressman Thomas Massie tossed out of the GOP after his stimulus stunt, but his opponent once called Trump an idiot. Background One infant in Chicago recently died of the disease, the Chinese city that saw the first major outbreak of the virus. The possibility that the largest RNA viruses, namely, coronaviruses, show low mutation rates is supported by evidence of 3′ exonuclease proofreading activity. A colorized image of cells from a patient infected with the coronavirus process of spread, Harrison says — about one-third to one-half the rate of the flu. flu viruses in another key way that reduces the number of mutations. The rate of mutation in coronaviruses — about two mutations per month — is much slower than it is with the influenza virus, which averages. For younger age groups, the case fatality rates in Italy and China are comparabe.
